Wolfgang Kühnl studied piano with Professor Lothar Broddack
at the Berlin Academy of the Arts and with Maria Curzio in London,
also taking part in master classes with Georgy Sebok and Oleg Maisenberg.
As accompanist he has taken part in the lied-classes of Aribert
Reimann and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.
He has been Lecturer in Solo Répétition and Chamber
Music at the Berlin Acadamy of the Arts since 1986. In his work
he focusses on chamber music and lied accompaniment. He gives numerous
concerts, performing duets with a variety of other musicians and
singers in Europe, Canada, USA and Japan.
He is a member of the group "work in progress", which
performs exclusively contemporary compositions.
